The White House released a report on Thursday stating how all blockchains can become more environmentally sustainable which affects the NFT space.

The report also stated that typical blockchains running under a proof-of-work consensus mechanism are highly energy-consumptive.

Following the report is Executive Order 14067 which called for the responsive development of growing technology in Web3.
