Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has recently launched its Threads app.
As a response, Twitter has sent a legal warning to a similar app.
Alex Spiro, a Lawyer representing Twitter sent a letter to Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta.
In this letter, Spiro calls Threads a “copycat” app stating that “Twitter has serious concerns that Meta… has engaged in systematic, willful and unlawful misappropriation of Twitter’s trade secrets and other intellectual property.”
Spiro also mentioned the deliberate hiring of previous Twitter employees to replicate a new product.
